Meet the Dental Team

Dr. Antonio S. Braithwaite- Board Certified Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Antonio S. Braithwaite (“Dr. Antonio”) grew up in New York City before coming to the Tar Heel State and receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill while majoring in Public Health Nutrition. Following college Dr. Antonio attended dental school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated with Honors. After completing Dental school, Dr. Antonio earned his Master of Public Health degree from the UNC School of Public Health while completing a three-year residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of North Carolina Children’s Hospital and the UNC School of Dentistry. Dr. Antonio is a member of the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. Outside the practice of pediatric dentistry, Dr. Antonio stays active and enjoys traveling, working out, watching sports, and spending time with his wife Mary, family and friends.

Cheritta Pridgen- Practice Manager
Cheritta Pridgen (“Ms. Cheritta”) grew up in Snow Hill, North Carolina and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While attending UNC, Ms. Cheritta was awarded the Francis L. Phillips Travel Scholarship and traveled to Santiago, Chile where she spent a summer. While there, she took dance lessons and toured various parts of central Chile. Shortly after graduating from UNC, she entered the teaching field and taught high school Spanish for five years. Outside of work, Ms. Cheritta enjoys watching sports, cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time with her daughter, family and friends.

Crystal Stratton- Dental Assistant II
Crystal Stratton (Ms. Crystal) was born and raised here in Sanford, North Carolina. She attended Central Carolina Community College where she received an Associate Degree in Arts and her Dental Assistant II Certification. Ms. Crystal has spent time abroad volunteering her time at soup kitchens and safe haven shelters in Harrisburg, Penn.   She also has held Sunday school classes for hundreds of young children in Venezuela, and has severed as a live-in relief staff member for Oak Ranch Boys home.  Ms. Crystal is active in her church and serves as one of the Middle School Ministry leaders.   Additionally, Ms. Crystal enjoys spending time with her husband, Ron, and their dog "Jake".

Chelsea Godfrey- Dental Assistant II
Ms. Chelsea was born here in Sanford, North Carolina and was raised in Harnett County where she currently resides. At the age of 20, she received her certification as a Dental Assistant-II, graduating with honors from Central Carolina Community College. Aside from work, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Additionally, Ms. Chelsea loves going to the beach and shopping.

Yuekia McLean- Dental Assistant II
Ms. Kia was born in Brooklyn, New York. At the age of thirteen she moved to North Carolina. A few years later, she moved to Seattle, Washington where she attended Clover Park Technical College and received her certification as a Certified Dental Assistant. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her husband Robert, her family, going to church, and shopping.

Carmenn Powers- Dental Assistant II
Ms. Carmenn was born and raised in West End, North Carolina. She worked for seven years caring for elderly and disabled people, before attending Montgomery Community College and earning her certification in dental assisting. Additionally, Ms Carmenn enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.

Jamie Martinez- Receptionist
Ms. Jamie was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala and grew up in California. At the age of ten, she moved to Sanford, North Carolina, where she graduated from Lee Senior High School. Ms. Jamie loves spending time with her daughter Hailey, family and friends.

Noemi Canales- Receptionist
Ms. Noemi was born in Raleigh, North Carolina and graduated from E. E. Smith High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina. In her spare time, she loves to be with her family, go out to eat and just hang out.
